TIWW 2022 Concluded with Great Success, Promoting New Opportunities for Sustainable Water Resources and Cross-Industry Cooperation

TIWW 2022 concluded with great success on October 15. Featuring water reclamation and recycling, TIWW gathered over 80 government authorities and leading enterprises around the world, including the Water Resources Agency, Industrial Technology Research Institute, Hui Min Environmental Tech, LCY Chemical, GSD Envi-Tech, Gung Dai, TankPAC Industries, Fluence and Veolia Water. These heavyweights presented the total solutions in water, including wastewater treatment, seawater desalination, and smart water management.

As Taiwan's only international tradeshow dedicated to the water industry, TIWW 2022 brought over 2,600 visitors across different industries, which included the water, semiconductor, electronics, chemical engineering, and architecture industries together to look for smart solutions. Of all the visitors, nearly a hundred were from the U.S., Netherlands, Israel, Japan, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, India, etc. It was evident that the growing demand for water and the cross-country and cross-industry collaboration will stimulate the development and business opportunities of sustainable water resources.

TIWW 2022 featured hundreds of innovative products and technologies. For instance, "Membrane Aerated Biofilm Reactor (MABR)" from Fluence, is a patented wastewater treatment technology that is energy-efficient and effective in TN removal. "Fog Making Seawater Desalination System" presented by Ginger Water Processing Technology is an eco-friendly and energy-efficient system that runs on solar as well as seawater power by utilizing the fog condensing method. "Ultrafiltration Membrane" from Nanostone Water was also heavily featured during the exhibition. Its membrane adopts patented ceramic membrane technology with segmented monolith design, which is suitable for managing industrial water. Last but not least, the "Smart Water Management Platform" from UnaBiz can monitor and analyze water usage of individual sectors, set up leak alarms, compile reports, and conduct data analysis.

TIWW 2022 was well-received by exhibitors and visitors, and opened up tremendous opportunities. For example, Bright Vision Engineering displayed the patented "Water Retaining Bricks", receiving recognition from the Water Resources Agency and attracted many domestic and overseas potential buyers from businesses and schools. FineTek considered TIWW 2022 a big success, as the exhibitors and buyers were perfectly matched and looked forward to future cooperation. King Membrane Energy said that they met with several environmental engineering as well as water treatment companies, and the overall results were very positive. What's more, as a first-time exhibitor at TIWW, Grand Victtor had many successful meetings with buyers from Somalia, Vietnam and India. The results were beyond expectations, and they looked forward to joining the next TIWW and exploring more business opportunities.

Besides, the senior manager of Brazilian company, Adasa, saw many impressive solutions to water recycling and management and was hoping to benefit from Taiwan's experience and introduce the latest technologies to Brazil. The regional manager of Omani company, Space Stars Trading, also found many innovative, high-quality products and technology during the show, and believed Taiwan's smart solutions can help the world to ease the global water crisis. They looked forward to more exceptional products at TIWW 2023.

The exhibition also featured plenty of activities, encompassing the TIWW Tech Talk, given by Fluence Water and Veolia Water and sharing the latest trends and applications on the topic of "Water Reclamation and Technology for Developing New Water Resources". Other highlighted activities including 16 new product launches and water resources seminar, given by the Turkish-Taiwanese artist Rifat, and the professional environmental educator Liu Xin-Wei, discussing the water footprint of islanders and the water resources crisis encountered by Taiwan and Turkey. In addition, there were more than 20 one-on-one procurement meetings that gathered buyers from Japan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and the United Arab Emirate, opening the door for exhibitors to explore global business.

In response to climate change, Taiwan has been promoting reclaimed water, desalinated water, and the use of brackish water in tidal rivers to deal with the water crisis. Taiwan plans to build 11 water exclamation plants by 2029 and 34 desalination plants in the near future, which creates abundant business opportunities. TIWW 2023 will return from September 20 - 22 in 2023. For more information, please visit https://www.taiwanintlwaterweek.com .
